There are numerous types of carpet underlay available at our carpet warehouses and depending on your budget and needs is a very important part of the overall purchase.
The underlays we stock are from the 2 brand leaders in carpet underlay, they are Duralay and Treadaire and within these brands we offer a selection of qualities and types.
The most well known type of underlay is a sponge rubber underlay that comes in a variety of weights for different applications. These types of underlays perform well for comfort and offer a durable spring retention.
The newest type of underlay is PU (polyurethane) foam and is made from recycled foam offcuts. This style of underlay provides excellent comfort and feel as well as high performance levels. We offer various thickness options for greater comfort and the other major benefit with this underlay is that it can be re-cycled again after use.
We also have carpet underlay suitable for underfloor heating and contract quality underlay that is a flatter and denser underlay that offers maximum protection to the carpet but with a little less comfort underfoot.
